The 90's started out on a slow pace, with just 1 backcountry trip and 1 car camping outing. We had a guest traveller, Mike Woo PSA compadre, who was brave to venture in with us, had a good time (so he told us), but ended up like most, not returning for an encore! It was low snow year but the conditions were ideal and the fishing did not disappoint.

15.133,294 ftGood snow year. Fishing on the hook!
Two trips this year. Season opener to Kennedy Lake, 5th year in a row and a snow year, on the ground and in the air. The fishing was off the hook, actually on the hook, as we caught and released at will. Believe we lost count at 120!

A late season quick trip to see what Granite Dome was all about and scout for a longer future trip in the area. Took us 12 years to get back!

Two Emigrant trips this year, however, it was busy elsewhere. Our longest backcountry trek into the John Muir Wilderness and an Alaskan fishing trip made for a busy summer. The Kennedy Lake opener was a 'quick turn' in May and we did a shortcut trip to Deer Lake, bypassing the Kennedy Meadows trailhead via Eagle Creek. The starting view was a spectacular sunrise over Granite Dome and a considerable drop down to Lower Relief Valley.
