Australia Coast to Coast November 2019
As we spun the wheel for our next extended vacation and 25th anniversary, a wedding in Perth beckoned to us and off we went. A leisurely itinerary was set from Home to Honolulu for 4 days, Honolulu to Sydney for 5 days, Sydney to Perth for 3 days and the wedding, return to Sydney for a day and half, then Honolulu bound for 2 days and finally back at Half Moon Bay. A total of 19,012 air miles.

Tahiti Le Taha'a October 2006
This has been an active year for Betsey and me as we celebrate our birthdays, and to top it off, Betsey's mother was our benefactor for a vacation of our choice. We looked around the globe for a place to go and eventually were drawn back to where we started it all, Tahiti. Whether it was the memories of some wonderful adventures, the soothing island breezes, the warm tropical sun or just the thoughts of lying on a quiet beach without a care in the world, we jumped at the opportunity.

There are many corners of this world that deserve praise for their beauty and splendor. But very few rise so spectacularly from the ocean floor as does Polynesia. The islands are mystical, magical and leave you with a sense of wonder and beauty that we have not matched in our travels throughout the globe. This was to be 10 days of rest and pampered treatment. However, as is our trend it ended up as 10 days of nonstop activity and exploration.

At one time, we had an excellent travel agent (remember them!) that Betsey found in San Francisco and who created several memorable trips for us. This being one of them. We went off to visit Betsey's adopted cousin (mother's sister side) in Bali to take in the culture and sights, as well as meet her fiancé. Lynn was working at one of the five star hotels along Kuta Beach (out of our price range) and was our host for the week.

This was to be our first overseas trip together and what a spectacular destination. Tahiti French Polynesia with tropical islands, breezes and scenery that goes on and on. Betsey's super travel agent set us up to stay in Moorea at the Hotel Sofitel and an extra treat for me was the flight down on Corsair.
